Cells are common graphic objects stored in a common table. They can be managed by means of the Cell Library Manager.

For variable tasks different cell libraries can be used. A cell is defined by a graphic object, a cell name and a cell ID. Each cell can be used for all further graphic arrangements:

• Single Cell

• Pattern

• Hatch

• Spaced Symbols

• Cell Matrix

Cell spacing and cell orientation can be defined as cell properties.

Since cells are separate objects, the target layer can be predefined. If the target layer is a labeled layer, attributes can be appended to the target table automatically while producing the cells:

• Cell name

• Cell ID

• Primary key (source object)

That way records with specific cell design can be selected via SQL.
